EcoEnergy's mission is to contribute for the recognition of the energy efficiency as an important part of the sustainable energy policy in the Bulgarian municipalities.
The strategic objective of the Municipal Energy Efficiency Network is to assist the Bulgarian municipalities to:
- fulfil adequately all their functions related to energy;
- mobilize resources to complete their energy programmes;
- contribute to developing of new public awareness towards energy.
The main directions in EcoEnergy activities for the period 2007 – 2013 are:
- Recognition of the Local energy planning and management as a main instrument of the Municipal energy policy;
- Training of local authorities and energy managers;
- Information dissemination;
- Organizational development of the network.
