EcoEnergy and the Energy Efficiency Agency (EEA) have longterm cooperation in the energy efficiency field , energy efficiency policy and related events in the municipalities.

In 2005 a Memorandum of Understanding (in BG) for cooperation and joint activities in the energy efficiency field and sustainable development of the Bulgarian municipalities has been signed between MEEN EcoEnergy, the Aenergy Efficiency Agency and the National Association of Municipalities in Republic of Bulgaria.

The joint activities are aimed at energy efficiency improvement in the Bulgarian municipalities and at overcoming the social and economic effects related to still high intensity of the energy consumtion in the municipalities. 

 One of the main direction for cooperation with EEA is elaboration of a better energy efficiency legislation as well as introducing of incentives for more effective energy consumtion by the end users.
